Riot Games published on Friday, August 21, 2026, on its Valorant esports site, the eight teams, the seeds and the schedule of the Game Changers NA Stage 2 Main Event. FlyQuest RED holds the first seed, ahead of SwimTrek Blue and Shopify Rebellion Gold. The bracket ends with a grand final on Thursday, September 17, at 2 PM Pacific Time, at Riot Games Arena in Los Angeles.
That final on site was announced on June 23, and the August post repeats it. "For the first time in Game Changers NA history, the season will culminate in a LAN on home soil," it says. A LAN, short for local area network, is a match played on site, with both teams in one venue, instead of online from wherever the players live.
The eight teams start on Tuesday, September 1. Tickets for the final go on sale on Tuesday, August 25, at 12 PM Pacific Time, according to the same post, which gives no price.
The eight teams and their seeds
The field comes out of a Swiss stage of sixteen teams that Riot had presented on July 10. The August post ranks the eight survivors from one to eight. That ranking, the seeding, sets the first round: the first seed plays the eighth, the second the seventh, the third the sixth and the fourth the fifth.
| Team | Main event | Swiss stage | First opponent |
|---|---|---|---|
| FlyQuest RED | 1 | 3 | MVSK Secret |
| SwimTrek Blue | 2 | 1 | Cloud9 GC |
| Shopify Rebellion Gold | 3 | 2 | HIMMERS |
| The Spiders | 4 | 11 | Axolotl |
| Axolotl | 5 | 5 | The Spiders |
| HIMMERS | 6 | 9 | Shopify Rebellion Gold |
| Cloud9 GC | 7 | 4 | SwimTrek Blue |
| MVSK Secret | 8 | 8 | FlyQuest RED |

FlyQuest RED takes the first seed. It was third on the list when the Swiss stage began, and was seeded fifth in the main event of Stage 1 in May. SwimTrek Blue, the second seed, is the team to have won that Stage 1, a title the post recalls. Shopify Rebellion Gold, third, is described by Riot as a longstanding contender of the circuit that did not finish first in Stage 1; a post of June 23 called it the reigning 2025 North American champion.

The largest climb belongs to The Spiders, eleventh of sixteen in the Swiss seeding and fourth now. HIMMERS moved from ninth to sixth. Two teams seeded in the top eight in July did not make it: SEN Otters, sixth, and the team named :3, seventh, both of which had played the Stage 1 Main Event.
How sixteen became eight
A Swiss stage has no groups and no bracket. Teams are paired round after round against opponents with a similar record, and each one plays until it reaches a threshold. In this one, as the July post set out, four wins sent a team to the main event and four losses ended its season, with the remark that tournament mechanics could bring minor exceptions.
Seven rounds were scheduled over five weeks: July 13, 20 and 27, then August 3, 10, 12 and 17. Six were on a Monday and one, the sixth, on a Wednesday. The post named two matches of the week for the Valorant Americas channels; the others were announced as observer-only feeds on the channels of Raidiant, the circuit's organizer.
The sixteen teams had two origins. Eight were invited from the Stage 1 Main Event, the post said, and the others came from two open qualifiers, tournaments that any eligible team could enter. One of them, Open Qualifier 4, started on June 30, according to the June post. The post did not say which team came by which road.

- LAN grand finalOne best-of-five series on September 17 at Riot Games Arena in Los Angeles.
The calendar moved along the way. When the season was announced, on December 18, 2025, the Swiss rounds of Stage 2 were planned until August 24 and the main event from September 8 to 13. The schedule published in July ended the Swiss stage a week earlier, on August 17, and the main event now opens on September 1.
Five days online, one in Los Angeles
The main event is a double-elimination bracket. Every team starts in the upper bracket. A first lost series sends it to the lower bracket, a second one eliminates it. The winner of the upper bracket and the last team standing in the lower bracket meet in the grand final.
A series is a best-of-three, won by the first team to take two maps, a map being one full game of Valorant. The lower bracket final and the grand final are a best-of-five, won with three maps. The August post states the length of those two; the rule for the others is in Riot's post of June 23.
| Day | Matches | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Tuesday, September 1 | Four upper bracket quarterfinals | Online |
| Wednesday, September 2 | Two upper bracket semifinals, two lower bracket first-round series | Online |
| Thursday, September 3 | Two lower bracket second-round series | Online |
| Tuesday, September 8 | Upper bracket final, lower bracket semifinal | Online |
| Wednesday, September 9 | Lower bracket final, best-of-five | Online |
| Thursday, September 17 | Grand final, best-of-five | Riot Games Arena, Los Angeles |
Valorant Esports, June 23 and August 21, 2026.
That makes fourteen series: thirteen online and one on stage. On the opening day, The Spiders against Axolotl is listed at 2 PM on the main broadcast, with FlyQuest RED against MVSK Secret at the same hour on an observer-only feed. At 5 PM, SwimTrek Blue against Cloud9 GC is on the main broadcast and Shopify Rebellion Gold against HIMMERS on the second feed.
Only the grand final is played in Los Angeles. The June post said so in its own terms: the two finalists come out of the online bracket and then travel. Eight days separate the lower bracket final, on September 9, from the grand final.

Riot announced the LAN on June 23, in a post devoted to it, while the open qualifiers of Stage 2 were still being played. That post gave the venue, the date and the hour, and presented the match as the first LAN final in the history of Game Changers NA. It left one point open, tickets and attendance, promising details later.
The August post closes that point with a sale date and adds what could not be known in June: who is still in the race.
Set beside last year's edition, the difference is in the shape of the calendar. Riot's post for the 2025 Stage 2 Main Event, dated October 1, 2025, listed six match days in a row.
| Point | 2025 | 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Match days | Six, October 7 to 12 | Six, September 1 to 17 |
| Grand final | Sunday, October 12, the day after the lower bracket final | Thursday, September 17, eight days after the lower bracket final |
| Venue named | None | Riot Games Arena, Los Angeles |
| First seed | Shopify Rebellion Gold | FlyQuest RED |
Valorant Esports posts of October 1, 2025, and August 21, 2026.
The format of the bracket is the same in both years, down to the two best-of-five series. Of the eight team names in the 2025 bracket, one is in this year's: Shopify Rebellion Gold, the first seed then and the third now.
Prize money and circuit points
The August post gives no prize pool and no points table for the eight teams. The figures on record are those of the season announcement of December 18, 2025: US$65,000 for Stage 2, within a season total of US$150,000. The 2025 post listed the same US$65,000 for last year's Stage 2 Main Event.
The amounts printed by Riot have not been identical from one page to the next this season. For Stage 1, the announcement also listed US$65,000, and the post published in May before that main event gave US$60,000. For Stage 2, no page has restated a figure since December.

According to the December announcement, the main event of each stage awards Game Changers Championship Circuit Points, and those points determine who represents North America at the Game Changers Championship, the international event that closes the Game Changers year, and who enters the Last Chance Qualifier.
After September 17
The August post says a Last Chance Qualifier follows the season and that more details will be announced. Riot described the event on July 22. It is played on LAN in São Paulo on October 14 and 15, between three teams, one from each of the regional circuits of the Americas: Brazil, North America and Latin America. They play a round robin on the first day, each team meeting the two others, and the best two play a best-of-five on the second. The winner qualifies for the Game Changers Championship 2026.
North America's place in that qualifier goes, in the words of the July post, to the team with the second most circuit points that did not win Stage 2. The Championship itself starts on October 22, also in São Paulo, at Riot's studios.
A longer horizon is in place as well. In its outline of the 2027 Valorant season, published on June 18, Riot said a non-partner team that qualifies for the Game Changers Championship would receive an additional incentive of US$100,000.
For the eight teams of this bracket, the first step is the opening series on September 1. Two of them will still be playing sixteen days later, on a stage in Los Angeles.
