Anyone's Legend, the League of Legends Pro League's top seed, went out of the 2026 World Championship on Monday, October 26, without winning a single game. Team Liquid beat the Chinese champions 2-0 in an elimination best-of-three at the Swiss Stage in Allen, Texas, according to the esports outlet Strafe, which reported the day's results early on October 27.
The same day, LOS, Brazil's representative, swept Team Secret Whales 2-0 to earn its first win at the tournament, while T1 and Bilibili Gaming each won a best-of-one match to reach 2-1. Those four results closed Round 3 of the Swiss Stage and set up the six Round 4 series, three of which send their winners to the quarterfinals.
Records and schedule as reported by Strafe on October 27, 2026. The count of 12 teams is 16 teams minus two qualified and two eliminated.
What happened on Monday, October 26
Round 3 of the Swiss Stage ended with four matches, played in this order, according to Strafe: T1 beat CTBC Flying Oyster in a best-of-one, Bilibili Gaming beat Karmine Corp in a best-of-one, LOS beat Team Secret Whales 2-0 in a best-of-three, and Team Liquid beat Anyone's Legend 2-0 in a best-of-three.
The two best-of-three series were elimination matches. A Swiss Stage is a format in which teams are matched against opponents with the same win-loss record. Both best-of-three series on Monday were between teams at 0-2, so the winners moved to 1-2 and the losers finished 0-3. The two best-of-one matches were between teams at 1-1, which is why their winners moved to 2-1 and their losers to 1-2.
Strafe reported that Anyone's Legend and Team Secret Whales became the first two teams eliminated from the stage, both finishing 0-3. CTBC Flying Oyster and Karmine Corp dropped to 1-2, joining LOS and Team Liquid at that record.

Anyone's Legend arrived in Texas as the first seed of China's league. The organization had won the LPL Split 3 championship on September 13, 2026, beating Bilibili Gaming 3-1 in the grand final, according to the esports outlet GosuGamers. That result gave it the region's first seed and Bilibili Gaming the second.
The Swiss Stage went badly from the first match. In Round 1, which Strafe's schedule placed on Friday, October 23, Anyone's Legend lost to Karmine Corp, the European team that had come through the Play-In Stage days earlier, according to GosuGamers. Sheep Esports described that opening day, when all four LPL teams lost, as a historic collapse. In Round 2 Anyone's Legend met Top Esports in an all-LPL match between two teams that both stood at 0-1, and GosuGamers reported that Top Esports won. That left the first seed at 0-2, one loss from elimination.
Monday's series against Team Liquid was the third loss. Strafe reported that the 2-0 sweep meant Anyone's Legend left Worlds without winning a game across its three matches, and described it as the first winless Worlds campaign for an LPL top seed since the league was established in 2013. In all, China's first seed lost three matches, two best-of-ones and a best-of-three, without winning a game.
Liquid and LOS stay alive
Team Liquid and LOS were both in the same position on Monday: a loss would have ended their tournament. Both won.
Team Liquid had opened its Worlds with a Round 1 loss to CTBC Flying Oyster, a result GosuGamers listed among the first day's surprises, before facing Anyone's Legend with its season on the line. Strafe reported that the Liquid sweep put the North American team at 1-2.

Strafe reported that LOS had opened the tournament with losses to T1 and G2 Esports before Monday's 2-0. Team Secret Whales finished 0-3 alongside Anyone's Legend.
The result matters beyond the two teams. The two survivors now face each other: Strafe's schedule lists Team Liquid against LOS on Friday, October 30, as a best-of-three in which the loser will be eliminated.
T1 and Bilibili Gaming move to 2-1
The two best-of-one matches on Monday sent T1 and Bilibili Gaming to 2-1, one win away from the quarterfinals, according to Strafe.
T1, the defending world champion, beat CTBC Flying Oyster. During that match, Strafe reported, Ryu "Keria" Min-seok passed Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok as the player with the most assists in the tournament's history.
Bilibili Gaming, the LPL's second seed, beat Karmine Corp. Karmine Corp, which began its Worlds in the Play-In Stage and won the Play-In final on October 18, dropped to 1-2 with the defeat. Bilibili Gaming had lost its own opener to Movistar KOI, according to GosuGamers, so the win on Monday completed a recovery from 0-1 to 2-1.
How the Swiss Stage works
The Swiss Stage at Worlds 2026 has 16 teams and up to five rounds, according to Strafe. After each round, teams are matched against opponents with the same record. Teams that reach three match wins advance to the knockout stage, and teams that collect three losses are eliminated. Eight of the 16 teams advance.

Strafe's preview of the draw reports that matches deciding qualification or elimination are best-of-three series played under Fearless Draft rules, while every other match is a best-of-one. A single best-of-one loss is never fatal on its own; a team facing elimination or playing for qualification must win a best-of-three series.
According to that preview, in Round 1 the sixteen teams were split into four seeding pools, and a team could not draw an opponent from its own region. From Round 2 onward there is no regional protection. Rematches are generally not allowed, according to the same Strafe preview.
Round 4 has two kinds of series: three best-of-three matches between teams at 2-1, whose winners reach the quarterfinals, and three between teams at 1-2, whose losers go home. Teams that finish Round 4 at 2-2 play the final round on Saturday, October 31 for the last three places, according to Strafe.
Round 4: six series in three days
Round 4 runs from Wednesday, October 28 to Friday, October 30, with two series a day, per Strafe's schedule.

Schedule and start times from Strafe, October 27, 2026; Strafe lists Bilibili Gaming vs Top Esports under its 1-2 heading, but both teams are 2-1 by Strafe's own results. Stakes follow each team's Round 3 record: the 2-1 teams play for a place, the 1-2 teams play to stay alive.
One matchup, Bilibili Gaming against Top Esports, is an all-LPL series, which is allowed after Round 1.
The results of these six series will decide which teams reach the quarterfinals directly and which move on to Round 5.
The league picture after four days
The first four days of the Swiss Stage have been rough on China's league. Sheep Esports headlined the LPL's Day 1, when all four of its teams lost, as a historic collapse. Anyone's Legend is now out. Bilibili Gaming, Top Esports and Invictus Gaming remain, and Strafe reported that Invictus Gaming beat Hanwha Life Esports and Top Esports beat G2 Esports on Sunday, October 25.
Korea's league has the two qualified teams. Strafe reported that Dplus KIA beat Movistar KOI 2-0 on Sunday to become the first team to reach the knockout stage, and that Gen.G beat LYON 2-1 to become the second. T1 is one win from joining them, while Hanwha Life Esports, at 1-2, must beat G2 Esports on October 30 to stay in the tournament.
North America has two teams in the stage. LYON is at 2-1 and plays Invictus Gaming on Wednesday, while Team Liquid is at 1-2 and faces LOS on Friday. The Pacific region's league has one team left: CTBC Flying Oyster, at 1-2, plays Karmine Corp on Thursday after Team Secret Whales' exit. Brazil's LOS is at 1-2 and faces Team Liquid.
Europe's league has the following picture. Movistar KOI is at 2-1 and plays T1 on Wednesday. Karmine Corp is at 1-2, and G2 Esports is at 1-2 against Hanwha Life Esports on Friday.
When the Swiss Stage ends on October 31, eight teams will have reached the knockout stage. Strafe reported that the knockout stage runs from November 3 to November 8, and the Worlds 2026 final is scheduled for November 14 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
For Anyone's Legend, the 2026 world championship is over. The organization, which won the LPL's Split 3 title nearly six weeks before the Swiss Stage began, will not play another match at Worlds this year. For the 12 teams that remain, the next three days are the shortest and most consequential part of the stage: three of the six series end someone's tournament.
