A maker of collectibles has put its name on the championship that crowns the 2026 FNCS season. BLAST announced on Thursday, August 13, 2026 that Hot Toys, which it describes as a creator of high-end licensed collectibles, is the Official Sponsor of the Fortnite Global Championship 2026, to be played on September 26 and 27 at the Lotto Arena in Antwerp, Belgium.
BLAST's summary of the announcement presents Hot Toys as the exclusive partner of the event in the physical collectibles category. BLAST said the deal covers both the live event and the global broadcast, Dot Esports reported. Neither company published financial terms or the length of the agreement, and the announcement names no other sponsor of the championship.

What BLAST announced
The Global Championship is the final of the FNCS, the Fortnite Championship Series, Epic Games' official competitive circuit for its battle royale game, a format in which many players drop onto one map and the last ones standing win. BLAST calls it the biggest competitive Fortnite event of the year and the defining moment of the 2026 FNCS season. It is also, the organizer notes, the first time the circuit comes to Antwerp.
The announcement sets out what Hot Toys receives as Official Sponsor. Some of it lives inside the arena, some on the broadcast and some on Fortnite Competitive's own channels. BLAST adds that further details of the collectibles and of the on-site experience will be revealed soon.
| Element | Where it appears |
|---|---|
| Legendary Drop | A social content series showing Hot Toys products |
| Arena stand | A branded stand inside the Lotto Arena |
| Store sales | Selected collectibles in the official FNCS online and event stores |
| Daily highlight | A branded broadcast segment on a standout play, paired with a featured collectible |
| Channel branding | Fortnite Competitive's official digital channels, the Twitch broadcast and arena branding |

The daily highlight runs inside the competition broadcast itself. Once per broadcast day, a standout play is singled out under the Hot Toys name and shown alongside one of its collectibles. Dot Esports, which reported the deal the same day, describes it as the first time collectible figures enter the competitive Fortnite space.

Two executives speak in the announcement. For the organizer, James Brown, Commercial Director at BLAST, welcomed Hot Toys as an Official Sponsor of the championship.
For the sponsor, the release quotes Franck Dubois, chief executive of Hot Toys Japan. He said he had attended the FNCS finals in Lyon the year before, the 2025 edition of the same championship, and he linked the deal to what he described as demand from the Fortnite community for higher-end merchandise. The announcement does not say which products will be sold, and BLAST does not list them.
Dot Esports describes Hot Toys as a brand that has brought figures from major entertainment franchises to market at premium price points. Neither source gives figures for the company's size or its sales, and neither gives a price for the items to be sold at the championship.
BLAST, Epic Games and the commercial side of the FNCS
The deal was announced by BLAST, which now runs the circuit's competitions. Epic Games' FNCS 2026 co-streaming guidelines, published on May 4, state that following the partnership between BLAST and Epic Games, the competitive tournament of the FNCS is run by BLAST. The sponsor announcement accordingly comes from the organizer, with its commercial director speaking for the deal, and no Epic Games executive is quoted in it.
The same guidelines show how a sponsor of the circuit reaches viewers beyond the official channels. Co-streamers, creators who show the official pictures on their own channel with their own commentary, are pointed to a main feed that carries the FNCS partner integrations. The rules then limit what those creators may add. Their own sponsors must come from a list of permitted categories and fit within a total logo size cap of 80 by 80 pixels, and the stream must be delivered tastefully and suit its audience.

Under the 2026 guidelines, co-streamers must not cover any BLAST logo integrations or graphics. At the arena, BLAST partners must be visible in the on-site streamer booth, and BLAST has final say, at its sole discretion, on all areas.
The permitted list runs from quick-service restaurants, sports and energy drinks and salted snacks to automotive, software, hardware, apparel, telecoms, travel, luxury and hospitality. The prohibited and closed list includes alcohol, tobacco and vaping, gambling, banking and finance, insurance, chairs, sports rights holders, entertainment, and any video game, developer or publisher not owned by or affiliated with Epic Games or Psyonix. Toys and collectibles appear in neither list; the guidelines direct creators unsure about a category to ask by email. The lists apply to the sponsors a creator adds to the official pictures, not to the partners already carried in the main feed.
Players have their own obligation. The FNCS 2026 official rules, published by Epic Games, contain one line on the subject: section 8.1.2 says players must be respectful of other players, event administrators, spectators and sponsors, where applicable. The rules carry no clause on player apparel or on sponsor branding.
The championship Hot Toys is backing
The event has changed date and format since last year. Epic Games announced on May 29 that the 2026 Global Championship would move to the last weekend of September in Antwerp, to line it up with a new Battle Royale season starting at the end of summer. The 2025 edition was played in Lyon, France, at the LDLC Arena, from September 6 to 9, with 33 trios, teams of three, competing over 12 matches for a US$2 million prize pool, as Esports Insider reported in August 2025. The 2026 FNCS is played in duos, teams of two, under the official rules.

Fifty duos earn a place in Antwerp through three routes, each tied to a leaderboard of the season. The 25 places of Major 2 and the 10 of the Last Chance tournament match the figures in Epic's May 29 update.
| Route | Places | How they are shared |
|---|---|---|
| FNCS Major 1 Summit | 15 | First to 15th on the Summit leaderboard |
| FNCS Major 2 Finals | 25 | Europe 9, NA Central 6, two each for Brazil, Asia, Oceania, the Middle East and NA West |
| Last Chance Finals | 10 | Europe 3, NA Central 2, one each for Brazil, Asia, Oceania, the Middle East and NA West |
FNCS 2026 official rules, Epic Games, section 2.2.12. Fifteen, 25 and 10 places make the field of 50.
The calendar Epic gave on May 29 places the last two routes over the summer. FNCS Major 2 began on July 18 and held its finals on August 1 and 2. The online Last Chance tournament, which replaced a third Major, started on August 3. The same update put another Fortnite final on the summer calendar: the Reload Elite Championship, for the game's Reload mode, held in August at the Esports World Cup in Paris, a multi-game festival run by a different organizer. Antwerp, by contrast, is the FNCS's own final, run by BLAST.
The prize pool is US$2 million, according to BLAST's announcement. The organizer does not publish its split by placement there, and the official rules attach prize tables only to the qualifying events, not to the championship itself.
Collectibles as a sponsor category
Hot Toys arrives in a category that the circuit's documents do not define. The co-streaming guidelines name apparel, hardware and luxury among the permitted sponsor categories but say nothing of figures or collectibles.
The structure of the deal mixes branding with retail. Four of the five elements BLAST lists are about visibility: a social series, a stand, a broadcast segment and branding on channels. The store element is different: selected Hot Toys collectibles are to be offered through the official FNCS online and event stores, which places the sponsor's products inside the circuit's own merchandise outlets. BLAST has not said which items, at what prices or in what quantities.
Other parts of the scene have recently paired competition with collectibles. Dot Esports, in its report on the deal, points to the Esports World Cup's partnership with Kolex on trading cards, and to a trading card line launched by the organization Gentle Mates in July 2026. Those are separate agreements with separate parties; the Hot Toys deal is tied to one Fortnite event.
What comes next
BLAST says details of the collectibles and of the on-site experience will be revealed soon. The championship opens on Saturday, September 26 and closes on Sunday, September 27. Ticket pre-registration had opened through a presale page when Epic Games announced the move to Antwerp on May 29. Thousands of fans will be able to follow the matches in the arena, according to the organizer, and the event will be broadcast worldwide, including on Twitch, where the Hot Toys segments and branding will run.
The Global Championship does not end Fortnite's competitive year. In its May 29 update, Epic Games said that FNCS Solos, a standalone online tournament in which players compete alone for regional titles, would follow in October 2026, with its format and schedule to be announced on Fortnite Competitive's channels. The Hot Toys announcement covers the Global Championship only and says nothing about the events that follow it.
