Twenty teams, fourteen days and US$3 million: Ubisoft set out on September 22, 2026 what the next Six Invitational will look like, and opened its ticket sales the same day. The tournament that crowns the world champion of Rainbow Six Siege each year will be played from February 1 to 14, 2027 in São Paulo, with its last three days in front of spectators at the Suhai Music Hall.
The publisher's announcement covers the whole event in one page: the venue, the format, the way the 20 places are filled, the price of every ticket and the rules for getting in. One place is already taken. FaZe Clan, winners of the last two editions, qualified in August by winning the Rainbow Six tournament of the Esports World Cup.
Ubisoft's announcement of the Six Invitational 2027, September 22, 2026.
Fourteen days, three of them with a crowd
The Six Invitational, often shortened to SI, is the event Ubisoft's page describes as the one time a year when the top teams of every region play for the title of world champion. The 2027 edition runs for two weeks, from Monday, February 1 to Sunday, February 14.
Most of it happens away from the public. Only the final weekend is ticketed: Friday, February 12, Saturday, February 13 and Sunday, February 14 are the three show days at the Suhai Music Hall, a hall on Avenida das Nações Unidas in the Jurubatuba district of São Paulo. The announcement says the last six teams still in the tournament are the ones who play there.
That leaves fourteen of the 20 teams who will finish their tournament before the doors open. For a spectator, a ticket buys the end of the playoffs and the Grand Final, not the group stage.

Four groups of five, then a 16-team bracket
The format has two parts, and Ubisoft describes both.
The group stage puts the 20 teams into four groups of five. Each team plays every other team of its group once, a system known as a single round-robin. That gives every team four matches and each group ten, so 40 matches across the stage. The top four of each group advance and the team that finishes last is eliminated. Four teams go home at that point and sixteen continue.
The playoffs take those sixteen into a double-elimination bracket. In that kind of bracket a first defeat does not end a team's tournament: it moves to a lower bracket and gets a second chance, and only a second defeat eliminates it. The bracket runs until six teams are left, and those six play the show days.
Every match of the tournament is a best-of-three, won by the first team to take two maps. The exception is the Grand Final, a best-of-five, where three maps are needed.
The shape is close to that of the previous edition. Ubisoft's competition page for the Six Invitational 2026, played from February 2 to 15, 2026 at the Adidas Arena in Paris, shows a group stage from February 2 to 6 followed by a 16-team double-elimination playoff from February 8 to 15.
How the 20 places are filled
There are three ways into the tournament, and they do not weigh the same.

The largest share goes to the season as a whole. Fourteen places are given to the top-ranked teams of the Global Points Standings, the table in which teams from every region add up the points they earn during the season. The first of those points were to be earned at the Season Kickoff in April, according to the calendar Esports Insider reported in February.
Five more places are decided at the last moment. They go to teams that come through regional Last Chance Qualifiers, which are, as the name says, a final opportunity for teams that have not qualified by then. The announcement confirms that these qualifiers exist and that they award five places. It gives neither their dates nor the way the five places are shared among the regions.
The twentieth place was settled first. When Ubisoft and the organizer BLAST presented the season in February, Esports Insider reported that the Esports World Cup would serve as the mid-season competition and award a direct slot to the Six Invitational 2027.
FaZe Clan, the first team in
That slot now has a name on it. Ubisoft's page states that FaZe Clan has already qualified by winning the Esports World Cup 2026.
The tournament was played from August 4 to 15 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, with 22 teams and a prize pool of US$2 million, according to Dot Esports. FaZe Clan beat FURIA Esports 3-1 in the best-of-five Grand Final on August 15, after eliminating Team Liquid in the quarterfinals and Geekay Esports in the semifinals, both by two maps to one. First place paid US$750,000 and carried the direct place in São Paulo. FURIA Esports received US$350,000 as runners-up, and DarkZero finished third.

In February, FaZe Clan won the Six Invitational 2026 at the Adidas Arena, beating Team Secret 3-1 in the Grand Final, according to Ubisoft's competition page. The same page shows the route: a 2-1 win over Team Falcons in the upper bracket final, the match that sends its winner straight to the Grand Final, while Team Secret came back through the lower bracket by beating Team Falcons 2-0.
The announcement leans on that record. It recalls that FaZe Clan won both SI25 and SI26, presents the team as the home side in São Paulo and raises the possibility of a third title in a row. No team has anything else to its name yet: the other nineteen places are still open.
Tickets: two sale phases and seven categories
Tickets are sold through Eventim, in Brazilian reais, in two phases. The Early Bird phase opened on September 22 at 6:00 PM Central European Summer Time and lasts until October 2 at the same hour, or until its allocation runs out. The general sale starts on October 2 at 6:00 PM and stays open while tickets remain.
| Ticket | Early Bird | General sale |
|---|---|---|
| One day, Friday | R$40 | R$45 |
| One day, Saturday | R$45 | R$50 |
| One day, Sunday | R$45 | R$50 |
| Three-day pass, ground floor | R$125 | R$140 |
| Three-day pass, balcony | R$100 | R$110 |
| Elite Package, three days | R$600 | R$700 |
Ubisoft, September 22, 2026. Full prices; the two balcony categories carry the same price.
The page lists seven categories, two of which are balcony passes at an identical price. All of them are general admission: no seat is reserved, on the ground floor or upstairs. The 15% fee charged by Eventim is included in the prices shown, and one person can buy eight tickets at most. Wheelchair access and accessible seating are available in every category.

At Early Bird prices, the three single tickets add up to R$130 against R$125 for the ground-floor pass; in the general sale, R$145 against R$140. The balcony pass is the cheapest way to see all three days, at R$100 and then R$110.
The Elite Package is a different product. For R$600, or R$700 in the general sale, it gives access to the three days, early entrance to the venue and to the activities around the event, faster queues, an official pass with its lanyard, and a bundle of merchandise that Ubisoft says is not sold elsewhere, including a backpack and a branded T-shirt.
Nobody aged 15 or under is admitted
Spectators aged 16 or 17 need a completed parental consent form, available in English and Portuguese. Everyone must show a valid photo document giving a date of birth.
Brazil, announced in February
The host country has been known for seven months. In February, during the Six Invitational 2026, Ubisoft and BLAST extended their partnership on Rainbow Six esports through the 2028/29 season and named the hosts of the new season's three global events: Salt Lake City and Japan for the Majors, Brazil for the Six Invitational 2027, as Esports Insider reported on February 16.
What was missing until this week was everything else: the city, the hall, the dates, the money and the format. Ubisoft's page presents the choice as a return to São Paulo.
The country's last edition set a high bar. According to the same Esports Insider report, the 2024 Six Invitational in Brazil sold out its venue and drew more than half a million concurrent viewers on the day of the finals.
The prize pool can be set against the summer's. The Rainbow Six tournament of the Esports World Cup carried US$2 million for 22 teams; the US$3 million of São Paulo is half as large again, for 20 teams. Ubisoft has not published how the sum is divided among them.
What happens before February
Nineteen places are still to be decided, and the calendar presented in February says where the points still come from. The second stage of the regional leagues runs through September and October. The second Major of the season follows in Japan in mid-November. The Global Points Standings then fix the fourteen teams that qualify directly, and the regional Last Chance Qualifiers supply the last five.
For spectators, the next date is October 2 at 6:00 PM Central European Summer Time, when Early Bird prices end and the general sale begins. Ubisoft says its rules for cosplay at the event will be published later.
The tournament itself opens with the group stage on February 1, 2027. The six teams left meet the crowd on February 12, and the champion is known on February 14.
