No Rocket League match had ever been watched by so many people at once. The semifinal between Team Falcons and Karmine Corp at the 2026 Rocket League World Championship reached 722,347 peak viewers, the audience analytics firm Esports Charts reported in a release first published on September 21, 2026, and updated with its final numbers on September 23. It is the first match in the game's competitive history to pass 700,000.
Peak viewers is the highest number of people watching at the same moment, across every channel the firm tracks. The week in Fort Worth, Texas, also produced 7.5 million hours watched, the total time all viewers spent on the broadcasts. The figures close a season in which, by Esports Charts' count, all three of Rocket League's most-watched events by peak were played in 2026.

The semifinal that set the mark
The record did not come in the grand final. It came one round earlier, in a semifinal that brought together two of the best-supported teams in the game. Team Falcons beat Karmine Corp 4-2 in a best-of-seven series, a match won by the first team to take four games. That series is the one Esports Charts names as the most-watched match of the event, and of the game.
The final itself was shorter. Team Falcons beat Spacestation Gaming 4-0 to win the World Championship, a year after finishing runner-up, according to the same release. The firm adds that Team Falcons played in the two highest-peaking series of the tournament.
Rocket League is soccer played with rocket-powered cars, three against three in its main format. The World Championship ends the season of the Rocket League Championship Series, the official circuit known as the RLCS. The 2026 edition ran from September 15 to 20 at Dickies Arena, with 20 teams and a prize pool of US$1.2 million, according to the primer published by Psyonix, the studio behind the game, on September 9.

The French team had beaten Twisted Minds 4-1 in the grand final of the Paris Major on May 24. A Major is one of the two large international tournaments of the RLCS season, and the World Championship follows them.
Three 2026 events at the top
The comparison Esports Charts draws is with the rest of the season, not with a distant past. With Fort Worth, the RLCS 2026 Boston Major and the RLCS 2026 Paris Major now hold the top three places in the game's all-time list by peak viewers. Every earlier edition of every Rocket League event sits below them.
The Paris Major gives the clearest measure of how far the record moved. In its release of May 25, the day after that final, Esports Charts put the Major's peak at 528.1K in a preliminary count, reached during the semifinal between Karmine Corp and Team Vitality. The grand final between Karmine Corp and Twisted Minds peaked lower, at 464K. The firm then counted more than 5.7 million hours watched, and said the Boston Major's peak, the record at the time, was nearly 100,000 higher than Paris.
| Event | Most-watched match | What Esports Charts counted |
|---|---|---|
| World Championship, Fort Worth | Semifinal, Team Falcons 4-2 Karmine Corp | 722,347 peak; 7.5 million hours |
| Boston Major | Not given in the releases | Top three all-time by peak; hours narrowly below Fort Worth |
| Paris Major | Semifinal, Karmine Corp against Team Vitality | 528.1K peak and over 5.7 million hours, preliminary count |
Esports Charts, releases of May 25, 2026 (Paris, preliminary) and September 21, 2026, updated September 23 (World Championship).
On hours watched, the World Championship finished narrowly ahead of Boston, which keeps it among the three most-watched Rocket League events by that measure, according to the September release. Paris, on its preliminary count, stood up to 1.8 million hours below Fort Worth.
The two figures describe different things. The first three days in Fort Worth carried two matches at the same time on two separate streams, and all of that viewing counts toward the hours. The record peak came in the playoffs, which Psyonix scheduled from September 18 to 20 on a single main broadcast.

Psyonix set out the broadcast plan in its primer of September 9. From September 15 to 17, the Play-In and the Group Stage ran two matches at the same time, on two streams, Stream 1 and Stream 2. From September 18 to 20, the playoffs and Championship Sunday went out on a single stream on Rocket League's main channels.
Six other languages covered all six days on channels Psyonix lists as official broadcasts.
| Language | Channel | Platforms |
|---|---|---|
| French | Rocket Baguette | Twitch and YouTube |
| Spanish (Spain) | rosdri | Twitch and YouTube |
| Spanish (Latin America) | RocketStreet | Twitch and YouTube |

| Swedish | svenskaraketligan | Twitch |

A further group of creators streamed from inside Dickies Arena. Psyonix lists eight in English, among them Retals, Chief Beef and Apparently Jack, along with Rocket Baguette in French, NeneCreative in Spanish and W1llyv in Arabic.
The final day also left the screen of a phone or a computer. On Championship Sunday, September 20, AMC Theatres showed the event live in 50 of its theaters across the United States, the first time the World Championship went to cinemas, according to the primer. Every ticket came with a code to redeem the in-game rewards that viewers otherwise earn by watching on Twitch. Seven universities held watch parties on campus for registered students, from Syracuse University to the University of Texas at Austin and Texas A&M University. Esports Charts gives no figure for these audiences.
Where the audience grew
Esports Charts' language figures are compared with the 2025 World Championship. English and French remained the two largest broadcast languages of the event, the firm reports, without giving their totals.
The sharpest rise came in Arabic. Watch time and peak viewers in that language both more than tripled year over year, according to the release. Arabic was also one of the four languages of the creators Psyonix placed inside the venue. The firm does not say what drove the rise.

The release does not break the rise down between the two Spanish broadcasts, the one for Spain and the one for Latin America, and gives no numbers for either language.
The figures in other languages are not published in the release. German and Swedish, the two smaller official broadcasts, are not mentioned among the languages that grew.
The co-streamers behind the peaks
Part of the audience watched through co-streams, channels where a creator shows the official feed with their own commentary. Esports Charts names Kamet0, Jynxzi and drb7h among the popular co-casters of the World Championship, alongside other creators, without giving the size of their audiences.
Two of those names were already there in May. In its Paris Major release, the firm credited Jynxzi, Gotaga, ohnepixel and kamet0 with drawing larger audiences to key matches. It also noted that a creator's boost tends to land on the grand final, or on matches involving a team the creator is connected to.
In Fort Worth, French-speaking viewers had two routes into the same matches: the official French broadcast on Rocket Baguette's channels, and the creators streaming from the venue. The firm does not split the French audience between them.
A peak counts one moment, not the whole week
The 722,347 viewers were watching at the same time during one series. The 7.5 million hours are the sum of all viewing over six days, across both streams of the opening days.
The firm's release gives no average viewers for the event, no split between platforms and no split between official channels and co-streams.
The players and teams on screen
The result gave the audience its story. Team Falcons won without dropping a game in the final. Esports Charts adds that dralii, one of the team's players, won his second world title, this time with an entirely different roster.
The release also singles out FURIA Esports and FUT Esports, which both reached the playoffs. FUT Esports went as far as the semifinals, the team's best result at an event of this level, according to the firm.
For Karmine Corp, the World Championship ended in the record-setting semifinal. Four months earlier, the most-watched match of the Paris Major had also been a Karmine Corp semifinal, against Team Vitality, which the French team won on its way to the title.
What comes next for the RLCS
The circuit's next stop was announced on the day of the final. On September 20, Psyonix announced the first RLCS Club Championship, which opens with a Kickoff event at the Copper Box Arena in London from December 9 to 13. Fans are admitted from December 11 to 13. Ticket details are to follow in the coming weeks, the studio said.
The Club Championship runs apart from the Major structure. Twenty-four clubs take part: Psyonix will invite 20 of them directly, and the last four places go through an Open Online Qualifier starting in November. After London, the teams play regional online leagues, and the best of them qualify for a 16-team Club Finale on LAN, played with all teams in the same venue, in 2027. The total prize pool is US$2.5 million.
The announcement says nothing about broadcast partners or language channels for the new competition. It points fans to Rocket League Esports on X, YouTube and TikTok for the coming details.
