Two clubs of the LEC, the European League of Legends league run by Riot Games, have been fined by it. The league's public disciplinary record now carries three new entries dated June 2, 2026: a warning and a €5,000 fine for Karmine Corp, the same for Movistar KOI, and a warning with a €2,000 fine for Jojopyun, a Movistar KOI player. Sheep Esports reported the update on June 3 and linked the sanctions to the Madrid Roadtrip, the league weekend that Movistar KOI hosted in the Spanish capital from May 8 to 10.

The timing gives the entries their weight. The two teams play each other again on Saturday, June 6, in the series that sends its winner to the final of the Spring Split and to the Mid-Season Invitational, the international tournament of the middle of the year.

Three entries, one reason

The record is a public sheet. Each line gives a date, a team, the person or organization concerned, the penalty, a reason, the competition and an expiration date. The three new lines share everything except the amount.

LEC disciplinary record, entries dated June 2, 2026, reported by Sheep Esports on June 3. The three fines add up to €12,000.

The reason is the same on the three lines: conduct unbecoming of an LEC team member. The record names no article of the league's rules and describes no incident. It does not say which words or which gestures are meant, and it does not separate what is held against each club. The expiration date applies to the entry as a whole and falls one year, less a day, after the date of the sanction.

No suspension appears. No player and no staff member is kept out of a match by these entries, and the series of June 6 is played with full rosters as far as the record is concerned.

Reading the record

The sheet gives a label, not the reasons behind it

The link between the three entries and the Madrid weekend is made by Sheep Esports, which reported the update. The record itself only prints the date, the penalty and the reason in one line each.

The weekend in Madrid

A Roadtrip is an LEC weekend taken out of the league's Berlin studio and played in an arena, with one of the teams as host. Riot's presentation of the 2026 program, published on January 15, counts five of them this year and explains the idea: the host club chooses the place and builds the event around its own supporters. That page dated the Madrid edition May 8 to 10, and Riot's guide to the Spring Split, dated March 6, placed it at the Madrid Arena, with Movistar KOI as host, from a Friday to a Sunday.

The same guide listed two Roadtrips for the Spring Split. The other was hosted by Karmine Corp at Les Arènes de Grand Paris Sud, in Évry-Courcouronnes, in France. Each of the two clubs fined this week therefore received the league in its own country during the split, and Sheep Esports counted Madrid as the second Roadtrip of the season.

The weekend opened on Friday, May 8, with Karmine Corp against G2 Esports at 4 p.m. Sheep Esports reported the next morning that the size of the crowd at that first series, played on a working afternoon, became the subject of a public argument. A clip criticizing the turnout circulated after the match. Ibai Llanos, an owner of Movistar KOI, defended the event on social media, and the exchange with Karmine Corp supporters turned sour. Kameto, an owner of Karmine Corp, reacted on his own stream.

One consequence was immediate. A showmatch, an exhibition game outside the competition, had been planned for noon on Saturday between the two owners and their friends. Kameto announced that he was withdrawing, Ibai Llanos confirmed it on Saturday morning, and the exhibition was canceled, according to the same report.

The two league teams then met on Saturday, May 9, in a best-of-three, a series won by the first team to take two games. Sheep Esports described that series before it was played as an important one for a place among the top four of the regular season, and afterward as one played in a particularly charged atmosphere. The outlet writes that the two clubs' penalties are directly linked to the public exchange between their owners. The record says nothing of it.

The one entry for a player

The player's entry is the only one of the three that concerns an individual. It carries the same reason as the two clubs' entries, word for word, and a smaller fine: €2,000 where each organization pays €5,000. The warning attached to it runs to the same date, June 1, 2027.

The record adds nothing else about him. It names no match, gives no date for the conduct and quotes no words. Sheep Esports notes that he is the only member of Movistar KOI's roster carrying an active disciplinary sanction.

A fine against a player is rare on this sheet. Every other individual named on it since December received a warning alone, and the same holds for the one organization warned before June.

What the record held before June

The three fines stand out against the rest of the sheet. The record holds eleven entries dated between December 4, 2025 and February 24, 2026, and each of them is a warning with no fine attached. All of them carry the same reason as the June entries.

LEC disciplinary record. Eleven entries, each a warning valid for one year, none with a fine.

Ten of those eleven warnings went to individuals and one to an organization, G2 Esports, on February 24, 2026. Among the entries dated since December, then, no club had been fined before June, and only one had been warned as a club. The June update fines two organizations on the same day.

Sheep Esports puts it in a longer frame: by its count this is the first time at least since June 2025 that Riot has issued financial penalties together with a warning to LEC organizations and players. The outlet also recalls that the league has gone further when it judged it necessary. In the Spring playoffs of 2025, a Rogue player received a one-match suspension over his behavior in solo queue, the ranked games that professionals play on their own outside official matches.

The earlier Karmine Corp entries are a separate matter. Sheep Esports mentions warnings given between December 2025 and January 2026 to members of Karmine Corp Blue, and does not link them to Madrid.

Neither club has answered

Sheep Esports published no reaction from Karmine Corp or from Movistar KOI with its report of June 3, and none from the player. The record leaves no room for one: it lists penalties and has no column for a response or for an appeal.

Nor does the sheet carry a comment from the league. The reason given is the short label used for every entry dated since December.

The rematch on Saturday

The sporting calendar now takes over. Riot's guide to the Spring Split set the format in March: the top six teams of the regular season enter a double-elimination bracket, in which a team is out after its second lost series, and every series is a best-of-five, won with three games.

The guide placed two dates at the end of that bracket. Saturday, June 6 is the lower bracket final, which Riot also describes as the decider for a place at the Mid-Season Invitational. Sunday, June 7 is the Split Finals, the series that awards the title. The Spring Split sends two teams to the Mid-Season Invitational, which Riot has scheduled from June 28 to July 12 in Daejeon, South Korea.

Karmine Corp and Movistar KOI meet this Saturday for a place in the Spring final and at the Mid-Season Invitational, Sheep Esports wrote on June 3. That is the series Riot's guide calls the lower bracket final. The winner plays for the title the next day and travels to South Korea. The loser's split ends there.

The two clubs will keep meeting in arenas after that. Sheep Esports reported on May 11 that Karmine Corp had invited Movistar KOI, G2 Esports and Team Vitality to the Roadtrip it hosts in Paris from July 24 to 26. That weekend, the fourth Roadtrip of 2026, is to be played at the Adidas Arena, a hall of 8,000 to 10,000 seats according to the outlet, over six best-of-three series at a rate of two a day. Movistar KOI play G2 Esports there on the Friday. The same report said that the finals of the Summer Split are due back at the Madrid Arena from September 4 to 6.
